Every part of the interface is designed to keep the egg timer visible, predictable and quick to operate.

24 configurable presets

The home screen presents 24 large egg timer buttons, arranged automatically for the current screen orientation. A single tap starts the selected preset immediately.

Portrait or landscape

With Follow device selected, EggTimerClassic automatically adapts when you rotate your device. The 24 presets change from a 4 × 6 portrait grid to a 6 × 4 landscape grid, keeping every timer immediately accessible.

  • Follow device is the default orientation mode
  • Automatic 4 × 6 portrait and 6 × 4 landscape layouts
  • Portrait or Landscape can also be locked explicitly in Settings

Long-press a preset to open Choose Time. Select a value from 1 to 99 and choose seconds, minutes, hours or days.

Short timers use a clear hours-minutes-seconds display. Long timers automatically switch to a dedicated day-and-time presentation.

An unmistakable alarm screen

When time expires, EggTimerClassic displays a full alarm screen and an Android notification. The alarm can be silenced or restarted immediately.

Alarm and display settings under your control

Choose an Android alarm tone, adjust EggTimerClassic's relative alarm volume, enable optional vibration and select how the app responds to device rotation. Follow device automatically follows the device orientation; Portrait and Landscape can also be selected explicitly. The in-app volume does not change the phone's system alarm-volume setting.

On every device, multiple presets and a 10-minute egg timer with the screen switched off were successfully tested. Manufacturer-specific battery controls can still affect background behaviour on untested devices.
